{'en': 'In the fall of 2019, Agence Mamu Innu Kaikusseht (AMIK) carried out the inventory of bivalves around the community of Pessamit, in the northern part of the shellfish sector N-05.1.3.1 and the sector N-05.1.3.2. The aim of this project was to estimate the shell banks by evaluating the biomass of all edible species that can be exploited by the community and to acquire knowledge about the different species. \n\nA total of 340 stations were sampled. For each station, the species were identified, measured, counted and weighted. Other information such as type of sediment, grain size, etc. were also entered in the database. Depending on the station, the sampling was done either by the pumping technique with the Venturi system or by the conventional technique with the shovel. \n\nThis project is part of the Coastal Environmental Baseline Program Initiative under the Oceans Protection Plan of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. \n\n__Source identification__:\n------------\n\n__Data__\n\nAgence Mamu Innu Kaikusseth. Ce projet avait pour but d'estimer les bancs coquilliers en évaluant la biomasse de toutes les espèces comestibles pouvant être exploitées par la communauté et d'acquérir des connaissances sur les différentes espèces. \n\nAu total, 340 stations ont été échantillonnées. Pour chaque station, les espèces sont identifiées, mesurées, dénombrées et pesées. D'autres informations telles que le type de sédiment, la granulométrie, etc. sont également renseignées dans la base de données.
