Infaunal Macrofauna in the Deep Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence in 2005-2006

These data were acquired as part of the Hypoxia project to study the spatio-temporal variation of benthic macrofauna and the relationship with environmental variables in the deep estuary and the gulf of the St. Lawrence River.

Abundance data (ind. /dumpster) of endofauna were harvested from 20 to 26 August 2005 and from 14 to 22 August 2006 aboard the R/V Coriolis II using a Van Veen tipper (0.125 m2). Three replicas were taken at each station and then sieved on a 1 mm mesh. Data were collected at 17 stations in the Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence at depths ranging from 257 to 434 m.
