Proceedings of the Symposium on Coastal Habitats (2002)

The implementation of this symposium was the result of the need identified by stakeholders after a public consultation, itself resulting from a global project aiming to acquire knowledge of priority coastal habitats.

The objectives of the symposium were to raise awareness among the population and participants of the importance of coastal habitats, identify original and appropriate measures to promote the protection and enhancement of coastal habitats, encourage action and develop networks among stakeholders.
