The CIDCO is an NPO for training and R&D in hydrography and marine sciences. Dedicated to the development of state-of-the-art technologies and knowledge for the acquisition, management and representation of marine spatial data, the Interdisciplinary Centre for the Development of Ocean Mapping (CIDCO) is a partner of choice who meets the international, national and regional training and R&D needs of the coastal and maritime community. The organization is an active member of the Canadian Coastal Ocean Mapping Research & Education Network (COMREN).
CIDCO's mission is to modernize hydrography through applied research, development, training and technology transfer and to promote the results in a sustainable manner through its partnerships and its leading-edge expertise.
