Representing 58% of the archipelago's fishermen (188/325), the Rassemblement des Pêcheurs et Pêcheuses des Côtes des Îles (RPPCÎ) is concerned with the resolution of sectoral issues. With the support of its members, the RPPCÎ Board of Directors approved a resolution identifying as a major priority for the industry the development of a decision-making tool for optimal management of the opening of the Magdalen Islands lobster fishery.
